Charity Ball

Friday 18th October was the official launch of The Ellie Mawdsley Foundation at our first charity ball held at Blundells Hill Golf Club.

It was, as expected, an emotional evening as we remembered our beautiful Ellie. We made sure that we kept her light shining brightly as we launched Ellie’s charity, the website and social media platforms.

Upon arrival, our guests received a welcome drink which was kindly sponsored by Grant Thornton, Liverpool, as the talented pianist, Aaron Price provided the initial entertainment.

Guests enjoyed a wonderful three course meal before the sensational band Marble Eyes, played their first set ensuring the dancefloor was full right from their very first number.

The auction and raffle were both a great success and managed to get the evening off to a very positive start and so we extend our special thanks to all those who kindly donated prizes: Jo McNally, Phil Mawdsley, Adam from AW Catering,  Dave, Ravenhead Laundry, Debbie from Debbie Bennett Funeral Directors, Ste at Blundells Hill Golf Club, Gabi & Nina from Vincenzos, Charlie from Mr Chans, Ryan from The Blue Mango, Danielle & Rochelle from Houghton’s and The Wine Club, John from JD Testing, Lewis from Liverpool Boilers and Heating Ltd, The Girls from Something Special, Donna, at The Little Candle Crafter, Linzie from Skin Refresh, Beth from Beth Cullen Hairdressing, Meg at Rejuvenate, Sarah at Colour Analyst, Clint from PSD, Ian from The Tunza Centre, The YogaLoft, Laura at Gel Nails, Ricky from Chung Ku, Kevin Cullen Hypnotherapist and Rainhill Beer Festival.

Special thanks are also extended to Simone, from Moments by Simone who captured the evening perfectly using her amazing photographic/film making skills.

Well done also, to ‘Team Ellie’ (you know who you are) who were there every step of the way helping with all the organising, thank you girls, you did Ellie proud.

And finally, the night flowed seamlessly due to the talents of our MC for the evening, Mark Hodgetts, thank you Mark for helping make the night so very special.

The evening raised an incredible £13,190.93
